With emphasis on safety and skill development within a fun, competitive environment, LBX Sports, INC. is excited to continue its 6th year of LBX Empire Tackle Football!
Tackle Football - The LBX Empire football program will compete in the New York City Youth Football League (NYCYFL). This league consists of other programs that have been around for multiple decades and have a good standing reputation around the city. Teams such as the: Queens Falcons, Brooklyn Skyhawks, Van Cortland Titans, NYC Lions, among others.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DATES FOR 2024
The Season:
The first game is scheduled to begin the weekend of September 7th. The regular season lasts until the end of November with Playoffs and Championship played right after. Championship teams must be prepared to play and practice during Thanksgiving Week.
Training Camp:
During August, LBX will hold two sessions of training camp. Attendance is highly recommended. The 1st session is from August 12th - 16th and is overnight. The Camp will take place at Camp Pontiac and is for ALL of the players. In order to develop our players to the best of our ability we NEED player participation in both sessions. HOWEVER, please communicate with us if there are any scheduling conflicts.
The 2nd session will take place from Aug, 19th - 23rd on either Randalls Island/Thomas Jefferson Park from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. (Everyday for this week)
Practices:
Regular Season practices start Monday August 26th, 2023 through the end of the season. Practices are held in either Manhattan or on Randall’s Island, throughout the week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tackle football is a team sport and all players depend upon one another. All practices are MANDATORY. We cannot guarantee your child will play if they do not attend practice throughout the week. Safety is our number one priority. Practice is from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
Overnight Camp:
The players leave for 5 days to Camp Pontiac to help prepare and develop their game for the upcoming season. Camp is an essential part of the players development as we build team chemistry do many different activities, have chalk talk and most importantly have 12-15 practices.
Shuttle:
A service to assist the players to and from practice. The shuttle pickup is a central location based on borough. (Now offering shuttle service for Bronx) Starts September 4th, 2022. (Additional Fee)
Games:
All games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays (some intermediate games may be played on Friday nights). Our home games will be played at Randall’s Island (subject to change). Away games will be played within the 5 boroughs. The schedule will be posted on our website once it becomes available. (All Subject to Change)

Jr. Pee Wee (9 - 10) Years Old – Weight Limit (144lbs.)
Pee Wee (11 - 12) Years Old – Weight Limit (170lbs.)
Bantam (13 - 14) Years Old – Unlimited Weight
Intermediate (15 – 17) Years Old – Unlimited Weight
